About Auguste Montessori School
Observation
We encourage parents and caregivers to observe their child and the classroom in session through a one-way window. We find this to be a wonderful resource. It provides parents and caregivers a better understanding of the child’s learning style and classroom interests as well as a snapshot of their social-emotional development.
Soccer
Auguste Montessori School partners with local, professional soccer coaches to provide weekly lessons in the Fall and the Spring. Each session provides an opportunity for developing gross motor skills, teamwork, perseverance, and endurance. It is a fantastic opportunity to engage with the school community outside the classroom.
Art Camp
Art allows early learners to establish a foundation for art appreciation, visual literacy, imagination, and creativity. We offer Art Camp three times a year over school breaks. Children participate in artistic activities and create wonderful projects to bring home and share with their families.
Parent Engagement
Parents are an integral part of Auguste Montessori School. Families participate in school improvement projects, birthday tea parties, and school celebrations. Parents may volunteer to be room parents, host parent pot-lucks, and help on special projects. We are so grateful to have continued involvement from parents of children that graduated in Auguste’s first class. Once an Auguste Rascal, always an Auguste Rascal.
Parent Education:
Auguste Montessori School offers educational programs for parents and caregivers. These programs outline approaches and guidance on topics such as disciple, purposeful creative activities for the child to work on at home, nutrition, and other areas of relating to the child’s development. We are always available to discuss specific topics that arise during the school year.
